Following on from releasing I dreamt I was a hammer & everything was glass, we’re off to Cowshed Studios next week to begin work on our new (as yet untitled) album. Now isn’t really the time to go announcing track orders, but we can tell you that we’ll be recording live favourites Frozen field, burning field and These are the bright stars (& this is how to find them) and that the album is shaping up to be quite sizeable. We’re looking forward to telling you more about it; to stay up-to-date with us, why not follow us on Twitter?
To celebrate the end of a (hopefully) productive week in the studio, we’ll be playing the first Goodbye, Faithful Kingdom! All-Day Festival at The Macbeth on 24th January. It’s a Bank Holiday the following Monday, so we can all stay late and have a great time without worrying about getting in to work the next day. There will be…
Barbeque!
Art exhibition!
Affordable artworks!
DJs!
Bands including…
Agaskodo Teliverek, Napoleon IIIrd, The Monroe Transfer, Spinmaster Plantpot, Fireworks Night, Lime-Headed Dog, We Yes You No, Ed Seed (The Mules), and Temba
And, finally, today marks the beginning of a campaign that you, dear reader, can help us with. If you’re a Facebook person, find out more by joining our group.

Hello! Three things:
1) I can’t read the labelling in this comment box
2) You’ve said 24th January – is it May 24th?
3) How much would it cost me to get you to build me a ribbon mic?
That is all
1) Uh. I don’t really know why not. I can. It’s grey.
2) Yes. That was just a test. It is May 24th. Maybe I’ll change that.
3) Probably about £100. And I couldn’t do it for about 6 months. If you’ve got the money, and you particularly wanted a ribbon, I’d heartily recommend a Cascade Fathead. Bear in mind, though, you’ll probably need an external preamp for a ribbon mic- at least 55dB of gain.
